What does it mean to be “authentic” when authenticity itself has become an aesthetic?
When brands sell vulnerability, and algorithms reward curated selves, it’s easy to confuse exposure with “authenticity”.
Real authenticity is messy. Often unseen. It happens in the quiet moments, the inner battles, sometimes oversharing and then anxiety spiraling. And it often doesn’t fit in a neat caption.
Authentic isn’t always clear.

This video was interesting to make. I was messing around with photos of my laptop screen, exploring possible techniques to create different text effects for another project, and stumbled on the image in slide 2. I fed it into RunwayML with basically no direction…I just wanted to see what the AI would do with it. Testing the limits of AI and video generation. What it came up with reminds me of animation studies I did in college.
