Educating Loved Ones

Guide to the Mind focuses on educating those with loved ones experiencing mental illness. It hopes to put an end to the stigma by teaching allies and providing a common ground for both parties to feel safe and secure to speak about the topic.

    Landing Page

The landing page allows users to login in or create an account right from the get-go so they can better serve their loved ones. However, for those just looking to explore and learn more, there is an option to skip the login altogether.

    Mental Health Overview

The homepage provides an overview of mental health: what it is, types of mental illness, and fast facts about mental illness within the United States.

    Specific Mental Illnesses

Specific mental health sections, such as the depression area, allow users to take a deep dive into each type of mental illness. These pages further break down the various versions of that mental illness as well as specific warning signs, symptoms and other specific details.

    How to Help

Each section contains a how to help page to better equip users to reach out and help their loved ones through whatever they happen to be struggling with. This section provides dos and don’ts for helping people struggling with their mental health.

    Friend Profiles

A large aspect of Guide to the Mind is the friend profiles that help members cope with their mental illness. This area, should the user wish to share with others, allows family and friends to check-up on their loved ones and share intimate details of their struggle that they might have a hard time disclosing in person.

    Side Menu

The side menu provides quick access to every section within the application as well as subsequent pages.
